Re: Ballistic HC case, the wait is almost over!!

I am a huge fan of otterboxes but I may have to give this one or the trident case a shot. Look to provide the same amount of protection but a little more stylish.

How does this case compare in size to the otterbox defender?

Very kid friendly!!

I just got the case today and had it on in minutes. My 2 year old has a power wheel. He thought it would be cool to put the phone in the bed of the power wheel truck. Truck only goes 3.5mph so I was not really concerned about it falling out. But him being him, you take your eyes off of him for a second and chaos happens. He is throwing the phone and then driving to get it only to throw it again! (3.5mph power wheel plus ALL the strength of 2 year old southpaw = mad distance....repeatedly!!) Not a scratch on the evo tho!! I am so glad this case is on my phone. Although taking it apart is a b**** at least it will still look good without the silicone case whereas my otterbox defender case just has to have that silicone case in order for it to even look decent. Now the only way I can see myself breaking this is during the taking apart stage. I know I will probably snap it in 2 or warp it somehow trying to take it apart. If there was a way to manually reset the phone without removing the case to get to the battery when the screen freezes, I would be set for life on this case!

The case adds a little more bulk when you add the silicone skin. It is recommended for the maximum protection but the phone looks sweet as hell without it, and IMO still provides maximum protection. the only things that are exposed are your ports (headphone, usb, and hdmi) Corners have reinforced rubber on both the silicone and the hard plastic shell. The shell has hard rubber corners as well. It still does what it should do tho and if you baby the cell phone like most do, you will not even need the outer layer anyway. I need the maximum protection because I have a kid that plays at the maximum level ALL THE TIME!!

Re: Ballistic HC case, the wait is almost over!!

I have had the jester case for almost a month and love it. The design allows for a firmer grip than I have ever felt I got with an otterbox. The only thing I noticed is in low light situations it did interfere with the proximity sensor so was difficult to wake screen during a call. Rounded out the opening slightly further with a pocket knife and problem is solved and can hardly tell the difference.

Re: Ballistic HC case, the wait is almost over!!

I got this a couple of days ago from Amazon for just under $30. Sure it protects, but its HUGE!!! I have the Seidio innocase and the exoskelleton corner broke within a few months without even dropping it. They RMA'd it, but I thought I'd give this one a try. It definitely protects, I'm confident I'll never break my EVO again with this thing on, unless maybe it gets run over by a tank. I'm just not sure I want my Evo to be this big.....

Re: Ballistic HC case, the wait is almost over!!

Just got this last month and it makes the phone look intimidating. I use the outer shell because I like holding that better than the inner shell. Plus it makes it look more like a mini tablet.
