Sounds good, but also sounds like you would end up paying almost/around $100.00 don't think many people would like that.I would buy it though.

Re: Extended / Travel Battery Idea
Well the idea is to sell the box without the batteries directly. I personally have 3 extra batteries because I had a TouchPro 2 before, and acquired a 3rd extra battery recently.
But because we are using the "stock" batteries in the thing, it can be used with either 1 or 2 batteries. I would think the device could be manufactured for less than $10, and I personally would pay upto $20-$25 for the box without any batteries. |

Re: Extended / Travel Battery Idea
I did something similiar to this. I combined the charger from this:
2x 1500mAh battery + dock charger for Sprint HTC Evo 4G - eBay (item 250641711190 end time Sep-27-10 01:08:58 PDT) And this: Minty Boost! - USB charger for your gadgets Together to make a device similiar to your idea. |

Re: Extended / Travel Battery Idea
I had one of these (not the exact model but same concept) with my Mogul and TP2 and it worked very well. I used Sanyo eneloop rechargeable batteries because they have a long shelf life without self-discharge. (1.2vx4=4.8v), and it provided about 2800mAh, or enough to almost fully charge the battery twice.
I paid about $10 for the battery box, and it more than paid for itself. |
