Re: jawbone icon aliph
Found a couple cheaper things I think I'm going to give one of them a try.
Acoustibuds (list prime on the website a forums said icon worked as well) http://www.amazon.com/ACOUSTIBUDS-SI...ref=pd_sim_e_9 or Jabra Ear gels http://www.amazon.com/OEM-Jabra-Earg...7494890&sr=1-1 |

Re: jawbone icon aliph
How will does it work while driving in a Jeep with no roof, windows, or doors? I am still looking for a headset that makes this possible...

Re: jawbone icon aliph
Well I got them and here is the summary so far.
Keep in mind I have settled for given a fair long term test to either solution. Jabra ear gels: They fit over a standard donut shaped ear piece on the jawbone. I doubt the kit was really made for the icon the snap ear loop doesn't fit. But the gels do. I was able to get a so so fit with the largest one, but it was just not comfortable enough and I was not sure of the connection of the sensor and my cheek with it on. I probably will not use these, so at least they where cheap. Acoustibuds: I was able to get a couple solid fits, there is 1 problem. Its too loud. Heinous: This may be your best chance for hearing while driving that jeep... Turning the volume in call on the bluetooth down the min volume the voicemail box was ok just a touch louder than I want. But the post hangup sound notification... That is the deal breaker at the moment. I can't find a spot to turn that volume down all the way, if I could I would be more tempted to give this a long run try. There was some discomfort from them, but that hangup sound volume was too much. -- Well I hope this helps I may give the Acoustibuds a run for a bit. |

Re: jawbone icon aliph
I really want the bombshell (gold) one, but it seems to be the most costly one out of them all. ;(
I don't talk thatt much on the phone, but it'd still be really nice as the evo is 6 oz and when it's to loud for speaker phone... ecost.com has some of the best deals on two of the icons, and other jawbones as well. |

Re: jawbone icon aliph
First did the volume on the bluetooth during the call to voice mail. That reduced the volume enough to stand the increase of the voice mail system etc. But that blurp notification sound when hanging up doesn't seem to follow the volume rules.
I tried also reducing all the volumes , system media etc trying to get that notification down had the system completely to silent and it still happens. Either way the seal that the acoustibuds create defiantly increases volume and was secure enough for moving around some. |
