Re: A "Mirror-Like" screen protector for Evo? Maybe?
I had one on my tp2... it made it pretty difficult to see outside...you will also get rainbow color effect off the screen..
The protector looks awesome don't get me wrong, but it really limits the screen. I got mine off of ebay http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=mir...1&_from=&_ipg=

But a LOT of people have been saying they wouldn't get it because of the glare from being outside. Maybe I won't get one, lol. |

Re: A "Mirror-Like" screen protector for Evo? Maybe?
Clairvue makes it in mirror finish, although i'm not sure if the one your friend has on the iphone does this, but due to the way the screen protector is designed to be a mirror finish when the screen is off, when the screen is on, the whole screen can exhibit a rainbow oilslick effect. I tried mirror protectors on some things where i didn't need to look at the screen to be productive (mostly touch screen MP3 players) and they all have had that effect when the screen is on.
Scratches on mirror screen protectors are also alot more prominent than clear or frosted screen protectors. |

I had one on my Touch pro, it looked great but I hated it. It makes it next to impossible to use your phone outside, and yes it does also give an "oil slick" appearance to the screen. I would highly recommend that you don't get one.

Re: A "Mirror-Like" screen protector for Evo? Maybe?
I saw one that supposedly is clear when the screen is on. It was either at pdaextreme.com or sgpstore.com. I've bought from both places and they ship fast. And the sgp screen protectors are awesome. I had their anti fingerprint version on my tp2 and loved it. Theirs don't have that rubbery feel. Their just like the HTC ones
