If you're looking to accelerate your mobile digital life, look no further than the SanDisk 16GB microSD High Capacity Card. Another great invention from SanDisk, the microSD is about a quarter of the size of an SD card and is the newest standard of SD flash memory specifically designed for use with mobile phones and other devices.

It’s the storage solution made simple. No matter how small your phone or other device is, it can still pack a load of memory – videos, tunes, pictures, ring tones, games, data – it all fits on the MicroSDHC Flash Memory Card!

Features Include:
  • Newest standard of SD flash memory
  • Specifically designed for use with ultra-small mobile phones and other devices
  • High storage capacity (16GB) for storing essential digital content such as high quality photos, videos, music and more
  • Built-in security features enable users to download, store, and play secure content just like an SD card
  • Speed performance rating: Class 2 (based on SD 2.00 Specification)
  • Built to last, with an operating shock rating of 2,000Gs, equivalent to a ten-foot drop
  • Bulk packaging

Speed up your Class 2
-----------------------------------

I just bought a class 2 SanDisk 16GB a few days ago and it's the same model as this one (SDSDQ-016G-A11M). I got write speeds up to 9mb/s which is pretty decent for a class 2.

If you get one, I would suggest formatting it to FAT32 w/32k clusters to speed up it's file access time for larger files.

Today only, Memorial Day sale. The site is now showing $39.95, but adding it your cart shows $20. Don't know how long this will last, so jump on it while you can.

Also, it appears to be a class 2 on the picture, but the specs don't say for sure.

When I add it to the cart it says $39.95. I go all the way to checkout and the price never changes. Is there a coupon code or something that I am missing?

Looks like it is dead now. Apparently this went up pretty early this morning and was posted on two big deal sites (Fatwallet and SlickDeals). This likely killed their stock and they pushed the price back up as it's now on backorder.

I ordered from Adorama at 1AM this morning @$19.95 and everything looked good until an email this morning from them indicating the card is back ordered from Kingston with at 10-14 day wait.

ORDERS ARE NOW CANCELED...damn!

Just got an email from Andorama:

We have received your order for the KGSDMC16GB2A (KINGSTON 16GB MICRO
SECURE DIGITAL CARD), however we regret most sincerely that we need to
inform you that this was incorrectly uploaded to Our website at $19.95
- instead of the correct selling price of $39.95.

We appologize that you may be disappointed, however, we hope and trust
that the customers who were affected by this pricing error will
understand that this was a genuine mistake, and that you will accept
our deep apology that we are unable to accept your order for the card
at the previously published price.

In accordance with our Terms and Conditions of Web Site Use and our
Pricing and Availability Policy, we are left with no choice but to
cancel the affected orders. If you still wish to purchase this item,
please place a new order which will be charged at the correct price.

Any Pre-authorizations will be refunded shortly.

I got the same e-mail. however, I'd already recieved another e-mail stating that I'd get the card at the price I ordered it at, even if the price changed. I've heard bad things about adorama for years, but was hoping that'd changed. we'll see if they honor it or not.

That's pretty gay. They should honor the price for all those who ordered, even if it was a "genuine mistake". That would be enough for me to never buy anything from that store again, and I would write them and tell them that. That's a real sh!tty move on their part.

Re: 16GB Class 2 MicroSD - $20 w/Free Shipping

I understand how you feel - and in your position I am sure I'd be thinking the same thing.
However, the price on the webpage was a typing error by a single individual in the admin team. Adorama doesn't actually make a charge until an item is shipped, so nobody actually lost anything.

It does say on the website:

http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?op=FAQ#Payment Information:
This web site is intended to be a guide only.
.....We make every effort to provide you with an error-free website, in the event there is a misprint, we reserve the right to correct copy or pricing to reflect actual current status.
We are not responsible for typographical or pictorial errors.

I do want to add my apologies to the company apology to anyone who was disappointed, as a result of this genuine human error - and however fed up you are right now, having spoken to the guy who messed up on this one, I think he may be in a worse place....

Agreed....I called their customer service area to express my displeasure, no-go on honoring the previous transaction. Oh well, I will just filter out Adorama from any future business since they don't care to honor good faith transactions.

The truth is if they have any kind of disclaimer stating that they aren't responsible for typo's(which they do) then there isn't really anything you can do. Most major online retailers have such a policy for situations just like this. I don't like it either but thats what they need to do to protect themselves at times. Imagine if they had gotten thousands of orders times $20 a pop, thats one expensive typo. Yes its not your fault but what can you do other than just don't buy anything from them ever again.

I will be keeping my 8gb that I got for my TP2 for now. But will prob invest in a 16gb class 6 or 10 in a month or 2.

You actually received an automated email, which is triggered by our computer system when orders received are greater than stock available.

It is certainly against the law to charge more than the advertised shelf price:
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/business/adv/bus11.shtm

However, according to The Federal Trade Commission under the Internet, and Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, businesses have the option to cancel an Internet order for a mis-priced item and send a full refund, as long as they promptly notify the customer and send their full refund.

At Adorama we do not actually charge a customer's cc until an item actually ships.

We regret your dissatisfaction, however as this was the result of a typing error by a single member of staff, we cannot allow that error to compromise the long-term security of our other employees by agreeing to sell this item to all those who ordered at this incorrectly advertised price.

I was tempted, but I just bought an 8 GB Class 4 card on sale at Office Depot and I think that will be enough for me for awhile. I'm not sure if I want to deal with the speed deficiency of a Class 2 card. When the Class 6 16 GB cards come down in price I'll probably grab one.

$26 bucks with shipping not bad ... but i think people are going to wait for the class 4 or 6 to drop in price

Did you look past the name and actually look at the real world benched results? Easily matching two class 4 cards it was tested next too. For $20 it's worth it indeed until your supposed "class 6 will be cheap enough soon".
