Re: Does class matter for phones?
the true question we need to know is if we would benefit from a higher class card ... can the phone even support a higher class card then 2 .. .i have read that it comes with a class 2 ... if u buy a higher class it is said that u are wasting your money and the phone would not support the higher speeds anyway ... u can get the 16gb sdhc class 2 card for $30 bucks

Re: Does class matter for phones?
Where is everyone getting this information they "know"?
How do we know what class it comes with, and how do we know that the phone can/can't handle certain classes? |

Re: Does class matter for phones?
Handle yes, absolutely. But the big question is whether the phone can take advantage of the available speed. I'd love to see someone do a write speed comparison on the EVO with the stock class 2 card vs one of the cheaper 16gb class 6 cards... My gut tells me that anything over a class 4 may be moot, but I would love to know for sure...

Re: Does class matter for phones?
Ahm..again class stands for "minimum speed"...so a class 2 card can run as same speed as a class 10 card..the only difference is a class 2 card may at points run at a lower minimum causing shutter a class 10 card is GUARANTEED to run at 10mbp/sec minimum..the reason they added the "Class" system was for the general consumer to identify on what they are doing for best results.
Now where are phones with SDXC cards..thats where the real speed and space is >.>..and to the above..you can't have 64gb sdhc cards they are above the specs of SDHC..thats where SDXC comes in...
