The ghost armor has a rubbery feel but I grew to like it and its definitely durable. I've heard they'll replace the protector if its damaged no questions asked.

Re: EVO Screen Protectors Thread

does ghost armor feel any less rubbery than the zagg shields...i can get a zagg full shield for 12.50 but hate that rubbery feel....any suggestions for how to do full body coverage and at least have the screen be smooth and totally clear like the stock one that comes with the tp2

I'm pretty sure you'll have to change brands. The clarivue one seems better and not so rubbery. I actually liked the durability of zagg on my TP: it took a key, it didnt break but the key left a mark that looked like a 'dent', I removed it and the screen had no marks on it whatsoever. But yes, I had a problem with the rubber-like feel.

Re: EVO Screen Protectors Thread

I can't comment on the zagg, never tried it. The ghost armor is clear as can be once it dries. I compared it to the stock protector on my mom's TP and hers feels slippery to me. The ghost armor isn't at all tacky, my finger slides right across it, its just not slick. Each to his own I guess. I only got the screen protector, not the whole body kit. Didn't really see the point in the body kit.

Yes, but why would you want a layer of film over a camera lens? You realize nothing will look as good through the camera?

I myself am going to go with Clairvue. From everything I've been reading it's exactly what most people are looking for in both toughness, smoothness, and clearness.

I may consider someone else's full body kit also for the rest of it, but refuse to have any sort of sticky feeling on my display.

so by tacky do you mean its got that rubbery kinda sticky feel? the stock screen protector that comes with it completely smooth just a layer of plastic, i want that around the whole phone preferably without that shiny look zagg kinda has

Re: EVO Screen Protectors Thread

No, its not tacky at all, my finger slides across it easily. Its just not slippery like the cheap plastic one that comes with the phone. You'll notice it more with the stylus than your finger. When I used my mom's phone with her stylus I found the stylus kept sliding away from what i was trying to hit cause it was so slick. With my phone that wasn't an issue. Its just a personal preference thing. I'm sure some people won't like it and some will love it. There's reviews on their site I think.

Talking Re: EVO Screen Protectors Thread

WARNING: Not for the faint of heart. HERE is a video of a guy who takes a key, scissors and a razor to his HD2 screen and didn't show any scratches.

I could hardly watch doing stuff like that on purpose. The thread I found it in over at the XDA dev forums (LINK) had people responding saying theirs did scratch, so I would rather be safe than sorry on this phone.

I have no doubt that the screen on this phone is more scratch resistant than my Touch Pro 2 plastic screen, but I am not going to risk it. It would bug me every time I looked at it if there was a scratch on the screen.
