I was refering to the fact that it looks like the black n white cases will be from sprint. I had been looking online for them when they will be from sprint.

soo... I found a new home for my Evo. It's durable, weather proof, soft on the inside, black, and big enough to fit. oh yeah, it also has a belt clip..:headbang:

I'm not the poster, but this was my personal problem with the Seidio case.
On my Touch Pro 2, the front plate did not correctly fit. It was cut slightly too small and the top left of it would feel forced having to stay fully attached. I just said w/e and left it as it was. A big problem was that the little clips that keep it attached to your device are not very strong. Every time i needed to press the little reset button, which requires removing the back plate, I would have to take off the seidio plate as well. Many rom flashes later, I find that the pegs have worn down and in some cases have completely gone away. This is true of the front plate as well over time. I'm not sure if the one I got was a complete dud, or if this is just a problem with cases that involve 2 parts from them, but the Touch Pro 2 case was absolutely horrid for me. I take very good care of my technology so don't think I was being careless with taking off the case every time I did so. I think I'm going to order one of those softer gel or pure silicone cases as I'd think there wouldn't be the same problems I'm experiencing. Either that or I'll just settle for a screen protector and that's it.

I have one of the Seidio Cases for my TP2, it is not the best I will give you that but it does work. I will more than likely get either one of the Hard Cases from Sprint or If Body Glove puts one of theirs out I will get that one.

I'm looking at this case on ebay. Does anyone have any insight as to whether it will fit the Evo properly? It's made for the HD2 which is pretty close to the Evo's dimensions.

You will not want one made for the HD2 as it will not have a slot for the kick stand.

I pick this pouch up recently.... it is very nice & supposedly compatible with both the EVO & HD2. It has suede interior & a magnetic closure.

more.. these are mockups and are suppose to be what sprint will offer.. notice the battery charging holster.. also the white cover in bottom right appears to be what was seen as the covers given at the Goggle I/O minus the Apple logo lol

I think I will prob try to get the black one that sprint will be carrying. I hate getting my stuff from their stores due to the cost but it looks like it will be the best one out there. Or I think it will. If I had the funds I would have one custom done out of CF.

i expect sprint stores to be jammin on release day... ill go pick up my Evo from radio shack and then go home and check sprint.com to see what their offering for cases cuz i like those ones too.. ill just order if they have them.. i dont like sprint stores, let alone the idea of going to one on an important launch date lol

EVO is .5 thick and hd2 is .4 thick.. might be a tight squeeze

not even close.. what if your watching a movie, grab for your soda(yes i say soda lol), and knock your Evo onto the floor... its unprotected... the hard cases, silicone cases, soft cases all enable you to fully use the device and keep it protected... especially while in use..

yours is good for carrying, thats it.. not really an all-purpose case

Yeah, I know it's a risk. I was comparing perimeters (2xwidth + 2xdepth) of the HD2 and Evo.

HD2: width=67mm, depth=11mm, perim=156
EVO: width=66mm, depth=13mm, perim=158

The Evo's perimeter is 2mm larger. It's leather, so it may work out in the end. I hope :)

I was the original poster. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Seidio. I call into question their batteries because their claims don't hold up in use, their cases are garbage, breaking amost immedidately becuase of shoddy manufacturing, and their customer service consists of a person who is ALWAYS (literally) out to lunch.

So Seido innocases aren't good? I saw they were 30 bucks bujt it looked ok to me with the right cut outs. But it kind of looked like it was covering the front camera also I couldn't tell. I was going to get the calrivue protecter I think. And I wanted the Amzer case and I see where they chaged the date on the ones but the Argyle ones say 6/14. And the rubberdized ones cover up the front camera. I like the Sprint ones too in that add and the black and white are cool and the colored pack of silicone ones too I like. I may see if they have those on the 4th cause I'll get 25% off and I want something on the phone as soon as I get it. Day Deal has cute ones I liked for the HD2 and I am hoping they make them for the EVO. They tried telling me the HD2 will work for EVO but no cutouts. I liked this one also casemate barely there for i phone and I like this otterbox one my co worker got for her iphone so I hope they come out with EVO ones too. I'll have a few cases I'm sure. A hard one a silicone gel one maybe a rubberdized and snap on I don't know. I just want my phone already..
