evo3d on boost number change?

ive had this evo3d on boost for a long time and now i want to give it to my brother. will changing to a new telephone number clash with the flash?(evo3d on boost mobile). also is it possible to factory reset without disrupting my service? meaning, keeping evo3d working on boost like it has been? plz help thanks. running stock rom.
