fyi---the latest version of Wifi Tether works when u set the device-profile to HTC Evo 4G. also enable the routing-fix. you'll still get an error about the kernel when u first launch the app, but it does work.

Wifi Tether is much better than barnacle (IMO) since it supports Infrastructure mode.

Damn you beat me to it. I acutally found wifi_tether_v3_0-pre14.apk worked but yours is even newer

I'll update my script later today.

Hey OMJ? I followed your directions and still can't get it to work. It connects just fine, but I can't get a web page to load properly. The Barnacle tethering app works great. I'm curious to know what Infrastructure mode is and why I would need it.
