Re: Speed up 3g Speeds!?

saw some improvement:

(with not so good signal)

old speed avg: 230 down, 230 up
new speed avg: 435 down, 573 up

hard to say if it was the actual setting change or just the time of day or w.e

Re: Speed up 3g Speeds!?

I would say it might crank speeds up a little but around where I live it depends on the time of day and if traffic is clogged. In the morning up until about 11am, I can blaze faster than my PC (which has an 8mb cable connection) but in the evening, I'm lucky if I can connect fast enough to not start pulling teeth with pliers. On the weekends, it levels out a bit but nothing to write home about.

I might do it just to do it but I doubt I'll see an improvement. Thanks though for the heads up!!

Re: Speed up 3g Speeds!?

Yeah, I did this too. I posted over there: xda-developers - View Single Post - [How To] Retrieve MSL and speed up internet faster

It pretty much did nothing at all for me. Actually slowed me down some.

Re: Speed up 3g Speeds!?

I tried it out using cdma tool with demo. it worked and improved my speeds by about .30-.50 MBps. though still pretty slow in my current area.
