EVO 3d - wont wake up from sleep, have to reboot

Well, have had the EVO 3d since yesterday, poking around, coming from the TP2. Phone is pretty sweet, fast, still testing battery life. Though, I have had to pull the battery about 6 times in the past 2 days. The screen shuts off for power save and when I go to use it and press top power button it wont wake up. Ive tried several buttons, hold down for X time, etc. but eventually leads to pulling the battery like my TP2. Anyone have same issue? Any idea what it could be?

huh i have 2 of the 3D's mine and my wifes. I have never seen it behave like that yet. maybe a app installed? try a hard reset. if not take it to a sprint store. did you take the updates? i took them all. phones fine.

I bet it's a setting or something. Before I got yesterdays ota update I had that problem. Either the update fixed it or there was (more likely) a conflict with estrongs task manager and the built-in one. I uninstalled estrongs and it's been fine ever since.

I have pulled my phone out of my pocket about three times now to find that it is powered off? Not sure if what is going on... I am gonna keep an eye on it for a week or so

It happened to me once today. I was on 3G, letting a youtube video buffer. The phone went back to sleep while buffering and when I woke it up the lock screen was in that 3D mode. It looked weird so I unlocked and saw the video buffering (3G is terrible here) like it should. I pressed the power button to save some battery while it buffered up.... And that was all she wrote.

Had to pull battery to get it to boot back up. Hasn't happened since and I tried to recreate it but couldn't.

FYI - the BSOD issue - I restored to factory settings and after 15 minutes of idle, couldnt get the screen back up, going to exchange.

There's a thread at Support Random rebooting - Android Forums about this same problem.

It appears people who exchanged the phone have had good luck. And it seems that the normal experience is to have NO random reboots.

My replacement is on order. I'll report back to androidforums once I get results.

I've had it happen once. I'm hoping to not have issues since I bought mine out of contract from Amazon Wireless.
