lockscreen gmail count ?

Guys is there any way of making gmail app so it tells unread email count on lock screen like mail app does it ? I just like gmail app better

I want this too. Unfortunately I don't think its possible. You can have a gmail shortcut on the lock screen but not with notifications.

I've been trying to figure this out too. I'd like to have the count, but keep using the gmail app over the mail app. I submitted feedback to google, maybe they'll see it, heh. I knew I wasn't the only one that wanted this functionality.

Yes, I would like the same thing. I also would like a GMail widget that is like the HTC Mail widget. I am tempted to use the HTC Mail app. Anyone try it?

You can use SMS unread count for a gmail widget. Works great!

Menu>Personalize>Lock Screen

From there Settings then tap any of the 4 shortcuts you want to change and you entire apps list will populate. Choose Gmail from there

There's a gmail widget that works like a mail one. It's called "Gmail Unread Count" use the free one

What we're after is having the app, or something else, show the gmail unread count on the lock screen. Having the app there just let's us launch it, but doesn't say how many unread emails there are. Thanks though

Hey, SMS unread count is perfect for a widget! Even uses the gmail icon so it looks like the app launcher with unread count. Now we just need this on the lockscreen too! I haven't tried gmail unread count, but my friend says it's perfect too. Thanks to both!
