Re: How's your battery life?
Background data is checked, auto-sync is not. There's the circle with the two arrows on my notification bar, I'm assuming that is background data?

Re: How's your battery life?
it'll take at least a few days to condition the battery. The way I deal with it is fully charge it while it is off. Once it's finished, unplug it and plug it back in. It'll be a little while before the light stays on as charged again.
Once that's done, just run the phone till the battery dies, and fully charge it. My evo lasts over a day with heavy usage (heavy is data on 24/7, like 6 imap push accounts, 1 exchange and a shitload of txting). So i'll let you guys know how it works out with this phone too!

Re: How's your battery life?
It may be too early to be getting an idea of how your battery life is. It takes a few full charges/discharges until the battery will reach its full potential
You just might have better battery life in a week

Re: How's your battery life?
you got that right buddy! So, an update to my first full day of evo3d usage: FREAKIN GREAT! My battery didn't die until about 8 at night! When it finally was exhausted, the phone didn't just "turn off," instead it powered down! That is a nice touch!
Also, I installed about 1/2 of my apps (from the evo) and was txting and talking as usual. The phone took QUITE a while to charge back up, don't know how long because i went to bed before it was done. So this morning i repeated the same process, once the light was solid green, i unplugged it for a few seconds and waited for the light to turn off (the device has been turned off since it shut itself down at 8 pm). Once the light was off i plugged it in again. A little while later (30 mins?) I did it again, this time when I plugged it back in the light was green. I expect the phone to last well into the night. And BTW, i'm not done installing my programs from the market, but when I hit the 15% battery range, the phone kicked into a (new for me) power saving mode which can turn off things like gps, wifi, bluetooth, adjust screen brightness and other things in order to save power. I turned that off that mode and ran wifi to grab some more programs before the phone died - and I got a LOT of stuff, more than an hours worth of non stop usage over wifi. It's looking really good right now! Very promising. |

Re: How's your battery life?
so its past the time when the battery died yesterday... its at 25% battery. I've been using 4g and 3d to watch videos on you tube, heavy usage today as well. This is sweet! And I'm sure tomorrow will be better. Just updating you guys for those who wonder about battery usage

Re: How's your battery life?
Battery Life so far for me has been great, ive watched lots of youtube videos already, talked for an hour, sent tons of text, played the spiderman game (imho sucks) and im about down to 30%. Im just patiently waiting to use up all the remaining juice. I havent even fully charged it since i got it this morning, im very impressed with it. I know the battery life is going be even better once it becomes conditioned.

First few time, I would drain it to down to the phone shut off and recharge. 1. The thing with battery is that the more you use your device on battery, the sooner it will die quicker. 2. I wonder if I do heavy IM and text for total of 2 hrs per day, will it last me thru the day.
