Re: How's your battery life?

you got that right buddy! So, an update to my first full day of evo3d usage: FREAKIN GREAT! My battery didn't die until about 8 at night! When it finally was exhausted, the phone didn't just "turn off," instead it powered down! That is a nice touch!

Also, I installed about 1/2 of my apps (from the evo) and was txting and talking as usual. The phone took QUITE a while to charge back up, don't know how long because i went to bed before it was done.

So this morning i repeated the same process, once the light was solid green, i unplugged it for a few seconds and waited for the light to turn off (the device has been turned off since it shut itself down at 8 pm). Once the light was off i plugged it in again. A little while later (30 mins?) I did it again, this time when I plugged it back in the light was green. I expect the phone to last well into the night.

And BTW, i'm not done installing my programs from the market, but when I hit the 15% battery range, the phone kicked into a (new for me) power saving mode which can turn off things like gps, wifi, bluetooth, adjust screen brightness and other things in order to save power. I turned that off that mode and ran wifi to grab some more programs before the phone died - and I got a LOT of stuff, more than an hours worth of non stop usage over wifi. It's looking really good right now! Very promising.
