Re: Engadget Evo 3D Review up

So it looks like only Engadget is the only site not giving it a good review. All the bad things they said about it are not the case in all the other reviews except the viewing angles. Well Engadget i think you need to re-review it or maybe they just had a bad phone out the box to review. Send them a new one Sprint/HTC an get them to actually make a real review!

that seems like pretty good battery life to me. the camera glass cover & call quality on the other hand bothers me a bit. the general navigation of the phone is buttery smooth.
it lets you turn on 4g and wifi at same time? also there is something called "4g idle" which was introduced on 4g phones after the original Evo...

But yes turning on all radios is a bit silly...

The Next iPhone to be released this year is only going to have a better camera. The iPhone 6 is going to be the one with a bigger screen and other major enhancements

Re: Engadget Evo 3D Review up

I was not expecting every review site to hop on the evo bandwagon and some critizism was to be expected but these reviews seriously killed my anticipation for this phone. was ready to pay full retail for this phone but looks like its the bench for me coach. the call quality being bad was the killer for me everything else can be tolerated but I need my phone to do the basics perfectly a phone that cant make descent calls is bad .. I still feel this was a rush job for sprint and htc so they wouldnt lose any momentum so hopefully the review units had a few bugs already being ironed out and a firmware update in the immediate pipeline... Is it just me or does anybody else feel these reviews were extremely rushed like every site didnt even try to use it under normal conditions just barely charged it and turned everything on and went at it just to be the first ones to the punch with the hands-on "in-depth" reviews.. not making excuses just seems to be a few extra variables in the equation. either way full price doesnt seem justified anymore and no longer a first week purchase for me

I do not know if reviews are rushed but it works a little differently..all the people that get it write their reviews..but cant release it until X date/time...hence why you see all reviews pop up at once..so no one of them rush it to be a "first" as none of them can ever be first...but how much hands on time they got is a differrent story..

Re: Engadget Evo 3D Review up

Going to have to read all the reviews but of the ones I've read so far they all seem to be good and say it is better than the Evo 4G in every category, including battery except Engadget.... idk about Engadget anymore I'm really starting to distrust their reviews.... I have no doubt that after a few days with this phone (and maybe an update or so) it will be running beautifully. 3D has always been a gimick to me and is a big part of why I didnt consider buying this phone intially. I will be upset if the 2D camera is a step down tho... and is it just me or does the 5MP on the Shift seem to be better than the Evo (my gf's Shift's pics always seem better and the camera seems to adjust and focus faster)
