with the bootloader being unlocked this means that rooting will technically be possible. once rooted programs like wifi hotspot that require superuser permission will be able to work .. so long story short ...yes

There are tethering programs that don't even require root. So it would have worked even without an unlocked bootloader.

The best tethering apps (in my opinion) do require root though, so the unlocked bootloader helps there.

I guess the main reason for unlock bootloader is that cook rom can be installed and overclock processor with other things else.

Radio Shack reports the phone will be available June 24th, not the 4th as I was anticipating! I hate all these long waits when a product is already developed!!!!!

On the flipside... Lets say you win the lottery and become an instant multimillionaire. Would you rather get the payout today or June 24th?

I'd be happy either way, I guess, but I'd certainly rather have the money today than in 3 weeks.
