Can the 3D tether out of box?

Can this phone be tether when it comes out?

Using USB or wirelessly?

If not, I am going to wait.

If you pay for it then yes. If not, you'll have to wait for root.

Re: Can the 3D be tether?

Pay as in pay for the tether software or pay for the Sprint data service?

I thought that anything in previous version of Android will work on the latest Android OS. No?

Re: Can the 3D be tether?

Also, don't we need a specific program/procedure to root this particular phone, or will the existing ones work?

it's alittle pre-mature to ask this, as there is no root yet.....but I would guess in time, yes, it will be rooted and have wifi tether

Re: Can the 3D be tether?

How long does it take before it is rooted?

How long it took the Evo 4g?

To this day, the Arrive has not been rooted yet. Very sad but I am not going Window this time.

Re: Can the 3D be tether?

It all depends on the info available to the Dev's who are working on it. We had root for the Evo day one but it wasn't a simple one click root. It was a little more involved and those not familiar with Android and ADB might have had issues. There really is no telling but I would assume it won't take very long. We still need to find out when it's coming out before anything
