I'm sure there's a way but I'm not sure....but really, it doesn't get much easier than typing fastboot oem writesecureflag 3

Yeah, thats true. Might be a bigger pain with flashable zip.

But... If it could be incorporated with the official PG86IMG.zip, a one shot one kill method wold be even nicer...

But at this one point.... the extra adb command is not a big deal. Lets be happy with a proven method to get back to stock

Re: [HOW TO] Return to 100% stock 1.13.651.7 / ROM - Recovery - S-ON!

Hey Scrosler. I'm gonna have to do this tonight as my touch screen has gone bizerk. It's making ghost phone calls and opening up apps without me even touching it.

I can handle steps 1 thru 6, but I'm unsure about step 7. Can you go in to more detail about this step. I don't know jack about adb, but I do know how to get in to the fastboot menu. I do have s-off, so I should have the whitesecure flag file.

Any help would be appreciated!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Once the phone has been flashed you will need to set the secure flag on the radio for S-ON to do this use "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" Make sure you are in fastboot menu. To do this power down and hold power down while powering up and select fastboot. You should have these files because you managed to get s-off with them . So I will not repost them unless you need them.

Damn it! I can't figure it out. SMH. I need to learn ADB bad.

Stuck with S-off on step 7. I have the Android SDK files on my computer. I save them to c:\sdk\tools\

I booted in to the fastboot menu, connected the phone, opened up command prompt and then typed in c:\sdk\tools\. Nothing happens. I'm lost. If any of you guys can help me out I'd really appreciate it.

What point are you at now? Did you flash the stock ROM back yet?

If so frab the ADB files and the Fastboot files from OMJ's post, decompress them then type the write radiop secure command noted in the post into a command window while you are int he ADB folder.

SO...

1. get adb and fast boot into one folder
2. Open command prompt at that folder location (win7: Hold shift and then right click in the folder and choose open command prompt here)
3. In the command prompt type "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" then press enter.

If that doesnt work take screenshot of any error and post them.

If you still have an issue let me know.

I'm at step 7. Here's what I'm doing. I extracted the sdk tools to drive c:. I booted my phone in to the bootloader and then in to fastboot. I connect my phone and then open up a cmd prompt. I have the fastboot folder open on my desktop. I enter the fastboot oem writesecure flag 3 and get this....
(I'm on windows xp 32bit. does that make a difference?)
