Yes, do the recovery wipe. I suggest the teamwin recovery. It is still best to do a full wipe and install over a clean slate. Remember to nandroid!

The old wipe zip doesn't work. Actually I would not use that as the EVO3D partitions are different and you could wipe something you need. Honestly though it probably wont even mount the drive.

Don't have an answer for that. I have changed a lot of stuff. The best I can do is probably. I would suggest backing up first.
