Re: [ROM] CleanROM 1.3 -8/13/11 - New Features and Enhancements!
I have version 2.0 Beta 1 out for download. I am not making updates to the OP yet because it is beta.
Features Based on latest Sprint ROM 2.08.651.2 Thanks to xhausx of XDA for the base! ROM Updater. Must configure theme server on first use... Easy to do. See bottom of post.... Performance Tweaks Overscroll Winodw Animations Removed ADB Notification Extended Quick Menu (Experimental) Ad Blocking Google News And Weather App Google Talk with Video Chat All Google Apps Updated Removed GPS Icon Apps ES File Explorer Titanium Back up Google Listen Current themes available ========How to configer the Theme Server for ROM Updater========= Start ROM updater app Press phone Menu Button and select configuration Select Addon/Theme Update Settings Select Manage Addon/Theme Servers Press phone Menu button Select Update Featured Addon/Theme Servers and select yes Themes by scrosler will show up, press back button 3 times. Press phone menu botton and select Check now Theme list will be populated Download theme of choice NOTE: The application is still in development! At this time you cannot automatically flash the download from inside the app! When the download completes select "Apply Later" Now use the phones power button to boot into recovery and flash the downloaded theme. It will be located in "CleanROM\download" Make sure you do not select Apply Now because it wont boot into recovery yet!!. Remember this is Beta release one. I have tested it well but there can always be unseen bugs so if you flash this ROM please report any issue you see! Known issues: 1. ROM Updater will not boot into recovery 2. Extended shut down menu does not have the correct descriptions but the icons are correct and functional. 3. No WiFi tether for the time being *This is a new base so new mods and hacks will need to be created to fix items 2 and 3. I sure they will surface soon and I will implement in the final release. Other than this email issue, which I don't believe is with Cleanrom, it has been running fine on our phones. Thanks for the work! I appreciate any solutions any one may have with the exchange server. |

Been running the beta rom for a few hours now and its running great so far. On a side note I was too lazy to do a full wipe then to set everything back up again so I just wiped cache and dalvik and the rom is as smooth as ever.

forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=729753 forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=775007 This is a problem in the stock roms as well and started with 2.2 from what I can tell. A general workaround for exchange security policy with the stock email is what I'm searching for that will work on 2.3.3 and future updates. Thanks! |

Re: [ROM] CleanROM 2.0.B1 -8/19/11 - Auto ROM / Theme Installer! GB 2.3.4
I installed it, but didn't set it up. From what I've read, this version doesn't support HTML messages or messages being moved between folders. So far, I haven't found a modded stock email for Sense 3.0 that will bypass the exchange server forced security policy. I've not keen on forced wipe, permission to disable functions such as wifi and camera. Many are using Touchdown by Nitrodesk, which does work, but I would prefer the stock exchange client for contacts and calendar.
I don't want to clutter your thread since this is not an issue with CleanRom, but an issue with the stock email client. I am still looking for a solution and will let you know if I happen to find one. Thanks |
