it should be noted, just copy this file to sd card. boot into bootloader, it will scan & find the zip & ask if u want to install...

how do I mound the sdk folder? at command prompt, I did c:\mount android-sdk-windows and it said mount wasn't a recognized command

Just use shell tools in the above post

tried to root and I get a signature verification failed.

E: error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(status 0)

edit: it works now, I had to uncheck the the listed option. (Originally unchecked, but I checked them before doing root)

from what ive heard people were having issues with clock but if you not dont worry about it

as for the new recovery take a look at the change logs
