Nuff said sticking with TWRP... the one from the root tutorial cool? Or do you use a newer version?

So far, everything works great with ics. I had to install the Swype beta because it was not included in the ROM, but it works great.

The only problem I see is that battery life is horrible compared to 2.7

Re: [ROM] OMJ's HTC EVO 3D Custom ROMs | 1.13652.1 ICS!!! | 4.0.3 | Updated *5/7/12*

Installed 4.0.3... looks great. Two issues however:

- I can't find roaming settings anywhere. I need to turn on data roaming, there's no way to do it from what I can tell. Any ideas?

- my "frequent" apps tray is getting blanked out every time I restart the phone. I was having this problem with 2.7 as well, was hoping updating to 4.0.3 would fix it. No such luck. Any ideas?

Other than that, I'm a happy camper. Thanks OMJ!!

Re: [ROM] OMJ's HTC EVO 3D Custom ROMs | 1.13652.1 ICS!!! | 4.0.3 | Updated *5/7/12*

Installed 4.0.3. It mostly works great, but:

WiFi tether does not work. I tried reinstalling it, clearing data, changing channels, profiles, enabling/disabling routing fix but it does not work correctly. My computer would connect but I get only limited connectivity (no internet)

I cannot find any tab to change bluetooth settings. Am I missing something?

Other than that the ROM is SWEET! I noticed that speedtest score much better with 4.0.3 for some reason. Apps open faster. I've never seen google maps work so fast.

Bluetooth settings are changed by going to settings and then clicking on the left part of the Bluetooth label... on the words instead of the toggle switch icon.

I might have spoke too soon... I can't send MMS messages. what's odd is that when I try ans I'm on wifi, it tries to reconnect through 3g (the 3g data icon reappears on the notification bar) while it tries to send the message. I'm not sure if that's enough to make me go back to 2.7... still deciding.

Cool thanks for the advice, I switched over I was still running the old version. VERY impressed with this version.

Its been a long journey to the new ICS rom for me today. I went ahead and re-locked and then re-rooted my phone just to try to clear up the issues I was having with all the 2.17 based roms. Did so successfully after much reading since I accidentally updated to hboot 1.5 using the wrong RUU. I shouldn't have tried to do it while working smh (hboot 1.5 sucks!)... had to figure out how to root 1.5 and the bs that came with that (didnt realize you had to flash roms in a special way with 1.5 o_O). At the end of the day I'm glad it made me get more comfortable with adb and comand prompt and where/how various files extract from some of these zips. I may have to keep my E3D after I get the E4GLTE to play and learn with Thanks again for the help! Time to dig into some ICS!!! Hopefully I have no more problems!!!

Update: Wow! That's all I can say. I'm really loving this ICS update so far. Super smooth, seems to be great on battery and a much more refined overall ui imo. I get how it can make you second guess the E4GLTE... kinda lol still can't wait for the hardware enhancements, but software-wise this almost feels like a new phone!
