I do have a couple questions if someone can help. I didn't notice where to find some settings so a little help would be appreciated:

I see the options to change color and different icons, etc but just not sure where to go? The phone I bought had the red and blue arrows for data, blue Bluetooth and Green signal strength. I liked that and want it back.

Thanks for the great ROM and thread!
Those options are in the app "ROM Tweaks".....in v2.4 & earlier, I had those colored icons in the ROM, when I added ROM Tweaks in 2.5 it overwrote those icons, though I did replace the battery icons in ROM tweaks...let me find those icons & I'll build a file to update.

ok, I got the colored icons back.....flash this file, if it doesn't change the icons, I will have to show u how to "push" the files, or you can use file expert to mount "system", then copy SystemUI.apk to /system/app then reboot. for some reason when I flashed the zip it didn't change but when I pushed the apk manually, they changed....

the flashable zip...

http://up.ppcgeeks.com/EVO3D/Users/O...ored.icons.zip

and the apk...

http://up.ppcgeeks.com/EVO3D/Users/O...s/SystemUI.apk

if u need help, I'll be around later....leaving now to go snowboarding

Ok, I flashed the zip, that didn't work. Then I tried going into FE and copied the apk from sd card, went into system/app and then tried pasting. It asked to overwrite? I said yes. It then said "operation failed". It also cause a FC one time I tried it as well.

So yes, please tell me how to "push" files. Should I have deleted the apk on the system/app and then copied SystemUI?

Enjoy the powder!

in FE, you need to enable "root explorer" in settings, and also when in the system folder, u have to "mount" as read/write, by default it is read only, that's why it failed.

to push manually (this is funner):

-if u don't have HTC Sync installed, download & install the drivers

-if u don't have SDK installed, download & extract these files to a folder (ie, c:\sdktools)

-copy SystemUI.apk to the same folder (ie, c:\sdktools)

-reboot phone into recovery

-connect phone to pc via usb cable

-open a command window to that folder (in W7, hold shift, then right click the folder, then choose open cmd window)

-in the cmd window type, adb devices, it should look something like this:

Code:
c:\SDKtools>adb devices
List of devices attached
HT16JHX***** recovery
-now type, adb shell mount /system

-then, adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app

-then adb reboot

verify u have the new icons

Uh oh, I re-did FE by mounting and enabling root, then I went in and copied the SystemUi into system/app and it FC. Now I can't get away from clicking FC over and over...

The other way seemed much more work so I just tried doing FE again. Am I going to need to reflash or do a battery pull?

Ok, I did a battery pull and it's not FC anymore, but now the task bar is gone at the top. So I tried going in again, made sure to mount read write, enable root was still checked, went into my sd card, copied SystemUI, then went to system/app and hit paste. I hit overwrite and then it didn't work. Now when I go to system/app, there is no SystemUI in there at all... I tried to paste again and it says operation failed.

OMJ, anything in the rom that would break mail syncing automatically?

I have a few accounts on my phone set to sync every hour every day of the week from 7a-11p and it seems the autosync does not work. I have to go into the account which triggers the auto sync.

I am running the latest rom you have posted I just flashed it few days ago and have not installed or done anything else to it.

I know during my search I found someone say taskiller and some others can cause this as it may kill a task needed but I have not done anything except flash and setup my mail

Otherwise, GREAT ROM. I like the above dude and looking forward to trying the icons. That tweak app does not seem so great at doing anything with the icons. In fact even turning it so I see dBm on the app it's always off by about 15 compared to what the phone sees using the diag app within that app even lol.

Anyway more interested in the mail issue

I don't know if it's unique no my ROM or not, but I have had this issue for as long as I can remember. I have several pop3 accounts that I have set to check every 30 min, but they don't until I open the mail app. I've been meaning to look into it, but have not....yet
