Battery

Hey ya'll.
So my touch pro's speaker went out last week, so I "upgraded" to the Inc. So far I'm less than impressed (TP with energy rom and overclock was awesome). I'll start with my main issue as of this moment, which is the battery. I've searched XDA and here for possible tweaks, fixes etc. and can't find anything promising. I ordered the 1500 mah battery, but that will buy me what, an hour of life? What is the best way to get this things battery life up? Hell my laptop lasts almost as long as this does.

Re: Battery

It gets a little better once the newness wears off and you start putting the phone down. I imagine others will chime in with an app suggestion, a kernel that's undervolted, or use setcpu to manage the processor speeds, but realistically you're going to get 3-4 hours of solid use no matter what you do.
If the battery isn't making it through the day, check to see what's automatically syncing. I have google set to sync mail, contacts and calendar, and another email account updates every hour (default is every 15 minutes). Everything else is set to manual. I tried everything else, and that's the only thing that made a noticeable difference.

Re: Battery

Ok, so I will retract much of what I said. I did end up getting superpower from chainfire and I unplugged my phone last night at 830. I've had moderate use out of it since, and I'm at a little over 1/3 left on the battery gauge. So I highly recommend this to anyone looking to save power.

Cool Re: Battery

I flashed to CM7 after 5 months of working up the courage to root my phone (seems so silly, now). Without all the VZW bloat, my battery life improved 300%.

I still carry a spare, they're like $10 on amazon.

Battery life was my biggest gripe after switching from TP2. Now, it's all gravy.

Re: Battery

My TP2's speakers are half way blown I've pretty much set my mind on the Inc.
Do you suggest it? And how is the rooting? Difficulty and what not.

I ordered 2 1500mah batteries and a dock charger from ebay for my tp2, the batteries fit in the Inc. CorrecT?

Re: Battery

The battery pack up should be good whether it is of iPad, laptop or mobile and for the long life of battery the battery should be regularly charged.
