rooting and OTA
If I root my phone, to enable the wifi tethering, but do not load any custom ROMs, will i still be able to accept the 2.2 update when it comes out?
(obviously I would lose my root, but i just wanted to know if rooting blocks the OTA)

I don't think rooting blocks the OTA update, but I could be wrong. You could just unroot when update is released and do the official update. Hope this helps.

It does not block the OTA, but it will like you said remove the root.
