Also , (in case you haven't seen it) there is a "sort of " task manager in the Settings / Applications / Manage applications - where you can clear caches , update and Force Stop the apps. , etc. . Works good and is a STOCK app.

Hmm, it was checked to play alarm even when silent...

I have no idea why it didn't go off then...

I will take a look, I think there are a LOT of things I haven't looked at yet, it will take a while LOL!!! (I think there are a few Easter Eggs in the ROM I have running on my Omnia for the past year I haven't played around with yet either)

Re: 8am alarm, a no show

well i haven't installed anything "time" related, ie. clocks, other alarms, etc. i have only installed games, and some news apps. really havne't messed with thing too much yet. i just so surprised how well it all works...er...minus the alarm. i alway make sure to have my volume up, plus i have the one option checked to sound when phone is silent. and its not that the alarm doesn't sound...the phone literally does nothing when the time rolls around. truly puzzling, but i will try to do some "scientific" tests later, if i feel up to it...this week is gonna be wild at work

honestly been thinking about getting an acutal alarm clock for a while. i have dropped my previous phones when trying to half-consciously dismiss their alarams...i don't wanna drop my incredible, haha.

Re: 8am alarm, a no show

You can always use the applicaions folder in settings to clear out caches and monitor all the apps.It shows each app and how much memory it is using.
I would do without the taskmaster. Checked some other sites but didn't see any alarm posts. Got to be a reasonable answer.

Re: 8am alarm, a no show

man i must subconsciously be terrified of my alarm not going off...i ended up waking up naturally at 4:45, so i turned the 4:50 alarm off. but the 5:20 one went off to wake me up. so i guess it was as simple as allowing the htc clock app to continue running. well glad it was a simple fix. however i feel that is a feature that should never been allowed to be "killed" by any task manager...anywho, thanks again guys for all your help and suggestions

Re: 8am alarm, a no show

I can verify that removing Android Task Killer allowed my alarm to properly run, after it had failed to run previously.

Thanks for figuring it out, guys!
