Re: Battery Saver

Is there a disadvantage such as losing app state to using a task manager like this?

You just close the apps you are not using. It was made for the android system.

i had read not use one, but just installed it and yeah, def needed! haha. hadn't ran any apps today, and it still had over 100mb of crap being used from stuff i ran yesterday. thanks for the tip!

i also suggest killing :mobile network" (data) when not using it. i don't "push" anything so i keep it off at work and turn it on when i need it. theres a switch widget under widgets/settings.

Re: Battery Saver

Yeah , I saw that widget last night. The less you run that is not being used the longer that juice lasts . Been running the taskmanager for 24hrs and haven't seen any bad results yet.
What was the name of that android site you have been going to ??
Would like to check it out.

i've been goin over to androidforums:

http://androidforums.com/htc-incredible/

its getting pretty lame though. they have some good info, but it is like noob central over there. for example they already have over 1500 threads on the incredible. i like it here at ppcgeeks, i feel more at home, haha

hmmm, thanks for the heads up. yeah android is a little overwhelming with all the app options. for winmo, you were lucky to find one app that did what you want, haha (exaggerated...) i chose "advanced task killer" because that was on the androids at verizon on on the tp2 port. but i will have to give "quick system info" a try.

do you recommend any other apps for saving battery life? you seem to have more experience with android, i've got about 24hours worth, haha
