Reboot

How do you reboot the Eris? Or even just turn the phone off?

Re: Reboot

If you have not figured it out by now...just hold down the Power (Hangup) button at the bottom of the phone. You will get a menu of options including Power Off. There is no Restart option or a soft reset button like on many other phones. Good news is, powering off/on is pretty fast (compared to WinMo phones at least).

To get to the boot loader menu(useful when someone figures out how to get root access on this phone), just power off and then power on holding the End/Power On/OFF and the Talk buttons for 2 seconds. You should get a white bootscreen with options to load boot images etc.

Great, thank you for the information. I know I tried holding down that button before and it did not work. But, it seems to be working now.

Re: Reboot

I asked on the other thread, regarding the wifi "capable" aspect for this unit. Can anyone here shed some light about built in wifi? Thanks..
