Alltel to Verizon, Any chance?

I have an Alltel HTC Touch Pro which was transitioned from the Alltel network to Verizon and it works great. What I'm NOT sure of how to do is to unlock it on the Verizon network and not screw it up in the process. I want to set it up differently. Any help out there?

Unlock it? if it's already on Verizon chances are the ESN is in their database already and it should work fine.

well i have the same htc daimond from alltel and im trying to get it to cricket but i cant? ill appreciate the help and about making the alltel work with verizon i have mine that way all i did was change my radio to anuppdated one from verizon from here http://www.myunspace.com/?d=EDB724641 and installed this new 51638 prl for verizon at this website http://corolada.com/prl/ and thats it . hope it helps

I did this exact same thing, and when I called Verizon, they told me 'as of 12/01/2009, we no longer activate Alltel phones on this network.' so I think they're screwing what's left of Alltel over before At&t gets the rest of Alltel Verizon had to divulge.

On another note, you can activate your touch Diamond on Global Mobile 1 service, which is what I did.

They use towers from all four major networks, and they have their own, also it's prepaid, so no contract or credit check, and you can choose if you want GSM or CDMA service. Word of warning: they don't start selling service to the public until the 19th of Dec, and you will have to unlock that Diamond to get it to work.

Yeah that's kind of a bummer about Verizon but oh well.
