I'm running all stock on Sprint.

Re: Heat Issue: Need Advice.

I ran the Sprint radio you are running as well as the Telus radio....I honestly tried them all at some point. I would say Telus would be a good one to try next though.

Re: Heat Issue: Need Advice.

I now believe that my heat issues are related to me been in a "marginal" area here in FLA. The phone never gets full bars in my place but when I drive to work I get Full EV .

This sucks as I have tried pretty much all Radios available.

Re: Heat Issue: Need Advice.

Get an Airwave. Call Retentions and complain.

Re: Heat Issue: Need Advice.

Thanks for your input. I've called Sprint and they wanted around $100 for the device and there is a monthly fee they said.

I'll be getting more info about Airwave but the guy said that I'm one mile out of their coverage area..

I don't think I want to pay too much of a fee for this..

Ah and he said Airwave it's only for voice not data.

Thanks again!

Sure. The main issue is dropped calls and the heat issue possibly caused by the phone toggling between EV and 1X signal.

Sprint charges $5 per month for the Airwave service.

I'm thinking about it.

Thanks.

Keep trying different reps and see if you can get yourself to the retentions folks. I was able to get an Airrave for my mom for free and free monthly service... not sure how far she was out of their coverage area though I just know she went from 1 bar at best to full bars.

Re: Heat Issue: Need Advice.

So just use Toggle1X made by Intx and leave it in 1x mode.

That's probably the best solution. I'll be looking for this CAB and install it.

Thanks Guys!
