Diamond Tether not functioning.

Sprint Diamond-Unlocked & Flashed with Energy Rom to Cricket.
Data and Phone are working great.

Cannot tether. Tried UsbModem, Pdanet, Internet Sharing. Nothing. With Internet Sharing Vista assigns Local Area Connection 3/Local Only. UsbModem was a no go. PDANet gave me local/internet connection but the browser kept timing out.

I have looked through numerous threads/forums and really did not want to post here. I really have no other option. I finally unlocked/flashed my phone after 2.5 days of reading and learning.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you select 'DATA' and not 'Phone as Modem' or 'PAM'. Unless you have a modem plan with cricket...

Connection should say "Sprint" not "Phone as Modem."

If he was on a stock Sprint Rom then yea. However, he is using the EnergyROM on Cricket. Same concept though, use the "other choice" in the drop box, not "Phone as Modem"

I personally use EnergyROM on Sprint and the "other choice" is "DATA"

Make sure that you have your router unplugged. When I have my HTC on DATA and Router connected at the same time, I cannot tether.
