Re: Original Sprint Rom

LOL, I actually have Mighty Rom but theres a program I need from the Original Sprint Rom, Its the XT9Settings program. I realize most people dont use it, but the version on that rom lets you add words to the actual dictionary. the version on mighty rom and the new sprint rom does not. I send text both in english and spanish and I liked the fact that I could add spanish words to the dictionary as I used them and on the program. This new version doesnt have the option to add words on the program and if I add them while texting most times it doesnt remember the word when I need to type it again.

If you have MightyROM4 you have a t9 settings program. It's called eT9MyWords.exe in the \Windows folder. You can set a link to it and pin it to the start menu. With MyWords you can add delete any word in your t9 dictionary.

Re: Original Sprint Rom

@hm_crespo
I am using the T9 setting on the current Sprint ROM right now.
I cannot use the "abc" screen while typing this text though
See my signature for the current stock ROM.
Is that the ROM that was giving you issues?

Re: Original Sprint Rom

you are absolutely right, I was looking for the wrong program. I tought it was xt9 settings, no wonder I couldnt find it. I had done exactly that with my older diamond but it was so long ago I guess I forgot the actual name of the program
Thanks a lot!!!

Re: Original Sprint Rom

The Rom you are using is the latest Rom from HTC/Sprint. It has a lot of issues which is why I was looking for the older Rom. I may not have to any more since I have the program I was looking for, but still Its nice to know I could still get it if I want to.

Curious because compared to the original ROM issued by Sprint , the newest ROM is pretty smooth.
With the first ROM, I was soft resetting 8-10x a day due to freezing and locking up.
Now when I freeze which is intermittent while posting, it unfreezes by itself.
Cannot type a lower case "i"
in T9 either. I have to type a word like in and delete the n, or I could use another keyboard.
That's about all the issues I experience.

Re: Original Sprint Rom

Really?, It was the exact opposite for me. I never had any issues with the original Rom, sure the occasional reset but most times it would be days or even weeks between them. What annoyed me the most abt the new Rom is that whenever I reply to a text the first letter I typed would just disappear. (which MightyRom does too to a lesser extent) maybe is something I did. I just cant think what. and there were a few other annoyances that bugged me abt the Rom but that was the main thing.

Re: Original Sprint Rom

the sprint rom update was the reason i lost my fear for flashing. I'd prefer a paper weight to that piece of crap rom.
