flashing stock verizon diamond.....

can i reflash my verizon diamond with the stock rom that is floating around or will it have to be unlocked to do even that? got some settings all out of whack.... hard reset doesnt fix it but i remember being able to load stock roms on the xv6800 without being unlocked. so does it still hold true for the diamond or will it have to be a rom released by verizon to do so?

you should be able to flash an official ROM upgrade without being unlocked (it should come in an .exe). but how did a hard reset not correct your problem, a hard reset should set you back to factory setting...unless you went over-riding things in your ROM (can this even be done???)
