Signal Strength not as good on my Diamond as it was on Touch.

I just received my Diamond and for some reason the signal is not as good as it was on my Touch. For example, in my office my touch would ring, now people get voicemail. I will be driving and all the sudden get a "missed call alert" instead of the phone ringing. Any advice, thoughts to improve this. Thanks!

Hi, you can unlock your phone, and try another radio from the link attached. alot of people have gotten better performance with some of the other radios out there. good luck.

Re: Signal Strength not as good on my Diamond as it was on Touch.

I just re-activated my diamond, and it gets a better signal than my touchpro did. I must have been blinded by me storage card and all the old pictures on it. lol... You may also try going to startmenu-settings-system-update prl

Re: Signal Strength not as good on my Diamond as it was on Touch.

I just switch from a Sprint Touch to a Diamond and I agree that the reception seems worse, prolly around 80-90% of the Touch. There are some weak spot where my Touch would hold signal most of the time whereas the Diamond now drops most of the time...

using MightyROM 4 with the latest Sprint radio...

I am using the stock Radio which is v1.11 and works much better than the previous stock Radio.
Check out which radio you have on your Diamond under:
Settings>
Device Info

Ok, My friend who has the HTC touch with no problems has Radio Version is 3.42.30
My new diamond has Radio Version of 1.11.00F

His signal is MUCH better than mine? How and should I go to that one?
THANKS!

Re: Signal Strength not as good on my Diamond as it was on Touch.

As was said prior, be careful regarding flashing a new radio.
Also, the radio you mentioned may not be compatible with your Diamond.
Depending on what area you are in will dictate which radio is best for you.
