Diamond Battery Question

Well, I am learning that the battery isn't the greatest. Could some point me in the right direction on how to remedy this or where to buy a replacement(upgrade). THANKS!

Just disable a few things like automatic screen brightness and stuff.

Re: Diamond Battery Question

Auto screen brightness does drain battery a lot. Also, if memory serves (it's been awhile since a lot of us had stock diamonds), the auto internet disconnect is set to something ridiculous... there's a reg edit to change that, which should cut back on your battery usage. Also, most, if not all ROMs in the Diamond Upgrade section drastically increase battery life. Mine goes from 7am to easily midnight with minimum usage throughout the day. Heavy usage, i'm maybe recharging by 7.

Any chance you could point me in the right direction for the auto internet(what is it anyway?) reg edit? THANKS!

Re: Diamond Battery Question

Had stock alltel shipped rom for the first 3 weeks of owning and after taking it off the charger at 7:30am battery was at minimum levels needing charged by 3pm. That was with minimal internet browsing and probably 1-2 hrs talk time. Flashed to MightyRom4 after reading good things and now after taking phone off charger at 7:30 at 6-7pm it may need to be put on the charger. Not sure what he has programmed into his rom but after a week of running on the MightyRom4 and getting an extra 3-5 hours of run time I'm a firm believer in getting rid of your stock rom and see dramatic results.

Re: Diamond Battery Question

12 hours ain't bad. You can tweak it further by disabling the automatic screen brightness and Voice Command.
