When flashing to shipped rom, let customizatons run?

Ive gotten to the point where I flash to the shipped rom every time I flash a new customized rom to avoid problems. I usually keep the sprint shipped .nbh on my internal and flash from there. If Im gonna turn around and flash another rom right after flashing the shipped rom, is it necessary to let the customizations install and run it through the whoooooole boot process? Or can I just run the shipped rom update from internal storage, put it in bootloader and flash my new rom?

I attached a pic of what point Im speaking of to flash from.

I don't let the customizations run. When it gets to the "align screen" portion, active sync can now connect again, so I flash at that point. Saves some time.

Re: When flashing to shipped rom, let customizatons run?

It does save a couple of minutes, and Indagroove has said that it's not necessary. Even with that being said, I still let customizations run, and then do another clear storage before flashing to the new custom rom. I also do a hard reset after the new custom has been installed. Probably a little over kill ... but, only takes a couple of minutes, and I've never had an issue crop up later.

this is exactly what i do too and was wondering if overkill. i even let customizations run a 2nd time on the shipped rom before flashing to custom.

I let them run in case a data setting is in them.
