Re: Opera 9.7 with turbo has arrived
In case anyone is interested, you can use fingerkeyboard with this browser with no issues. the standard htc sip doesnt seem to work and it will default to the stock wm keyboard, but just select or install fingerkeyboard. good news.

Re: Opera 9.7 with turbo has arrived
I am noticing that the text is more blurred on 9.7 (even with Turbo mode dissabled). It hurts my eyes, especially when trying to read small text when I am not fully zoomed-in. I think I will stick to the more crisp text of version 9.5 until they resolve this issue.

Re: Opera 9.7 with turbo has arrived
I can't believe how fast it is, and how smooth and quick the interface is. I'm sure saving passwords and the inability to log in to some secure sites will be fixed, as they already work fine with opera mini which takes a similar approach.

Super fast, but... I would rather it crash then freeze up my phone completely. I don't have any issues with the password management, just the freezing. Its really chapping my bottom.

Re: Opera 9.7 with turbo has arrived
I think freezing could have to do with the 3D acceleration. Same happened in Iris Browser; it's resolved with new 3D drivers.

Re: Opera 9.7 with turbo has arrived
***UPDATE***
The freezing could very well be the 3d drivers, but... I've noticed that by clearing private data, it doesn't freeze near as much (it just crashes now, but not as much as it used to freeze). Is that an improvement? I can't decide for myself. |
