Accelerometer is slow to respond

Mostly the only time I want to go into landscape mode its when browsing the web through Opera and getting it to rotate is a pain in the butt. I have to hold it perfectly in portrait and then rotate it quickly to landscape to get it to work properly and that only works part of the time.

Any one know of a way to make it work better or a button I can install to bypass the accelerometer and just rotate the screen? Thanks guys

go to settings>personal>buttons
and set Send Key (Hold) to <Rotate Screen> and then you just need to hold the button to rotate

Re: Accelerometer is slow to respond

Change the polling interval on the accelerometer and then see if that helps. There should be an option in Advanced Configuration.

I'm running grooverom 5 also and I don't see rotate screen as an option for long hold end key! Is it really on your grooverom 5? I don't think so

Re: Accelerometer is slow to respond

I am running the stock ROM on my Diamond wit the 2.00 version. I notice that when I am viewing PPCGEEKS and I rotate the screen slightly, it goes into landscape mode and the text is very small. (Why is the text so small?)I then have to tap the arrows in the upper left corner or sometimes it is a red "X" to get out of landscape mode. This happens when I view other sites also. This did not happen with the older stock ROM. Is there a way to disable this auto landscape mode?
