Re: Verizon Touch Diamond Woes

Theres a GPS fix for the TouchPRo in the TouchPRo forum, you may want to try that out

As for push mail, verizon has a tool that you can use for that, its called Wireless Sync
You can find more info on the CDs that came with your phone probably.

Maybe I'm wrong but I was under the impression that Wireless Sync costed extra. That's what the difference between the $29.99 data plan and the $44.99 one was the ability to use wireless sync. Once again I could be wrong here...

And to answer your question, Toushi, no, I was not able to get the Sprint Diamond to work. They would not add the ESN to their database. I got the run around and told eventually I may be able to do it, but "not at this time" and "we're moving toward an open network" blah blah.

Don't try to do an Alltel one either. I asked about that and I was told I could only do it if I was previously an Alltel customer and lived in an area that was getting ported to Verizon. So...don't waste your time. If you want it, just get the Verizon one. That's what I did.

See I don't have 300 to get a new diamond from verizon. I guess I am going to have to change the ESN.

I wouldn't recommend that....

And I only paid $220 for my Diamond brand new...which was only $40 more than I paid for a used Sprint one on eBay

Where did you find that deal? I've been watching them since they started showing up on ebay and I haven't seen anything under $350 for verizon's.
