Re: Water Damage Indicator

Yeah messing with the sticker seems to be quite the risky move considering that it's pretty easy to notice the tampering.

I think the best course of action might be to leave it alone and face the music if anything DOES ever happen to the phone..hopefully I won't ever have to....

Re: Water Damage Indicator

I sprayed my sticker while installing a shield. The phone is fine but I figured that if I ever did have a future problem with a warranty issue such as a bad magnet etc. not too many reps would believe me regarding how the sticker turned. My sticker job is very good and no rep would be able to tell the difference

Re: Water Damage Indicator

I think its kinda dirty placing that Water Damage Indicator so close to the outside. You can easily trip that without getting any water near the inside of the phone.

I would go to the store where you got it from, and ask the associate... Play dumb... and say my friend has the same phone as me, but this thing here is Solid Red, and his is not.

But I honestly suspect there is another indicator on the inside of the phone where it cannot be tampered with.

Re: Water Damage Indicator

Most phones don't actually have hidden water damage indicators inside the phone, even high end ones like the Diamond. However, Sprint has been pretty good with phones having the sensores go off or removed. If a phone actually had water damage they look at the main board and not the sensors. I'm not too sure how strict Telus is with them but Sprint has been more than good enough.
