Bluetooth sync for HTC Diamond

Hello, I'm new in this forum so excuse me if this is not the proper place for this kind of question.

I have a Toshiba Portege laptop and I'd like to sync my HTC Diamond via Bluetooth, but I don't understand the explanations on the manual of the phone. Can anyone explain how to do it simply ? Thanks for your help...
