Did someone installed TomTom8 on Diamond, if so does it work?

Do the maps from TT8 work on TT7 ?

To my knowledge, there IS NOT a TT8 version for PDA yet. TomTom Navcore 8 is only available for *nix based TomTom system.

Unless u get information link to PDA version, please post.

If you actually obtained maps legally you would be talking to TomTom support

If you obtained the maps legally but for a different device, then it's illegal

Did you have to do anything special or just put the new maps on the internal storage instead of the tomtom 7 maps? And which ones did you purchase? Thanks.

tom tom 815.2022 works on my diamond using TT 7.9....
Yeah legaly.
If you have get it legaly they will give you the corect file so that tt7.9 will recogonize it. And it works, all the bells and whistles, I can even access my TomTom account through it.

Please note that TomTom 8 meaning version 8 of the software doesn't exist for PDA, and it's NOT the same as talking about the version 8.xx maps. Maps are different then the software as per version goes.
