Wink GPS or not ?

My HTC Diamond was given to me by my employer, and the GPS seems not to be in it. It has a custom ROM from Orange, french phone company.
I'm wondering if the GPS is in it or not, because I don't think that, at HTC, they would make phones with GPS inside, and others without (it seems too expensive). But they could lock it by software.

So my question is : if I change the ROM to the original HTC one, would I by any chance get the GPS working ? What do you think ?

Re: GPS or not ?

It sounds like his phone is a GSM based on the fact he said France and Orange as a carrier. The GSM diamond has GPS, so it must be a setting on your current ROM. OP, you'll have better luck at the XDA diamond forums in finding a different/stock ROM.

Re: GPS or not ?

I think the GPS sticky may still apply but I'm not sure.

Re: GPS or not ?

Thank you all =D>. As I'm a newbie on this phone, I'll stick to the current ROM until I'm sure I can change it with no loss of any sort. So I have to find a clear tutorial and the way to re-parameterize it once it's flashed -

Re: GPS or not ?

How have you tried to use it? Have you tried it in google maps? You need to go into the menu and click start GPS. Good luck.
