Re: What is the program update # for Sprint
To update towers call *18. You will here 2 beeps, then another 2 beeps, then the call will automatically hang up. This should connect you to the nearest tower.

Re: What is the program update # for Sprint
Verizon used to require an initial activation after a hard reset, this was accomplished by *228.
For all you out there with Sprint when you hard reset the phone did it just pick up Sprint or did you have to force it the 1st time? |

Re: What is the program update # for Sprint
It picks right up if you've already had active service. I think the only provisioning changes would be if you flashed a new rom.. even then I'm not sure as I've never done this.. but I've hard reset many times without having to do anything with prl or service.

Re: What is the program update # for Sprint
Sprint does it's updates of towers via a power cycle of the phone. Simply turn your phone off and on, same as ATT. Verizon has to call 228.

Re: What is the program update # for Sprint
Once activated you should never have to do anything even after hard reset or flashing new ROM. Sometimes the phone will initiate an IOTA reprovisioning after a hard reset.
I have not used the PRL Program update yet. Lately sprint has beat me to it and it was done over night. The old way was you would call sprint and it woulkd come through as an IOTA update. You could also manually load the PRL update (MSL Key required).
