[REQ] Light Meter App

I think this was discussed earlier but I was out shooting some 16mm film the other day for one of my classes and realized id forgotten my light meter. I got thinking since the Diamond does have a light sensor, is it sensitive enough to be able to work as a photography/film light meter. Of course a program would need to be designed, but im not skilled enough to stab at it. Heres a picture of a light meter, similar to the one I use:
It works by first setting your iso film speed, then you take your reading and whatever the reading is you set the outer ring to then at the bottom is your fstop you need to use. The obvious issue with the phone vs the real thing is we cannot use the high hat for outdoors, unless the phone is cabable of polling that high. Anyone think this is worthwhile?
