Re: Point UI 2 Released! VGA Diamond Version. Nice!
id been trying it so far for about fifteen minutes and its pretty awesome.
very fluid and easy to use. problem is the backgrounds. my images are 480*640 and it scales them ingly. get all pixelated and shrunk in some weird manner. not happy at all with that.

Re: Point UI 2 Released! VGA Diamond Version. Nice!
Ok I tried it again for kicks and am using it over TF3D for now, the only issue I have is the Tasks/Calendar slide/bubble leads to the default task/calendar manager, how can I remap it to ThumbCal?
Thanks, |

Re: Point UI 2 Released! VGA Diamond Version. Nice!
I tried it for a few hours yesterday. I don't like that I have to scroll through my email accounts by pushing the play button. The messaging button in the bottom right is not much help either. I can't reply to messages nearly as fast as BellUI or TF3D. In the contacts page, I get the neverending wait cursor and no slider on the right for fast scroll. Also, no status bar. I love the status bar on BellUI. I can quicky toggle bluetooth and a few other goodies there. All in all, it's very smooth and looks nice but I went back to BellUI after a few hours. I did notice the same battery drain on Point as I did on Bell. I might have to return TF3D (UHG!!!) if I don't find a fix soon.

Re: Point UI 2 Released! VGA Diamond Version. Nice!
I dont understand why people are saying its not functional. Everything you need is 3 or less taps away. tf3d even with all the hacks couldnt dream of being this fast. Eye candy yes but very functional.

Re: Point UI 2 Released! VGA Diamond Version. Nice!
So far its been pretty nice. I liked the original PointUI, but this one is really slick !
there's some room for improvement, but overall, there's great potential Here's some background links to get you started http://community.pointui.com/topic/h...vga-collection http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431849

Re: Point UI 2 Released! VGA Diamond Version. Nice!
Does it need to be installed in the main memory? I tried Internal Storage and I can't find PointUI 2 anywhere. I looked in settings, today, items, and PointUI is not there. I can't load too much in main memory due to the Sprint Diamond taking up too much memory.
What are your thoughts? GP |
