Removing Program Shortcuts on Alltel Diamond??

Gentlemen (and ladies). Thanks for the excellent forum.... Only been on here a few months, but I'm impressed at the willingness of all of you to help out.

Appreciate if any of you could help with my questions below. I couldn't find an answer using the search function...

1) For the Alltel Diamond, the Programs Tab on TF3D has 8 programs that I don't need (such as "Tones", "Jukebox", "RSS", etc....) and I CANNOT remove them (they're locked)!!! Anyone know how I can remove them (without flashing a ROM)? I called Alltel and they have no idea!!

2) On another note, not brave enough to flash my device with a new ROM (yet). Is there a compiled list of CABS somewhere (for Touch Diamond, Alltel) to "optimize" my device? I found "Conflippers Custom Weather" here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42802. Great program!!

Thanks,

Re: Removing Program Shortcuts on Alltel Diamond??

tersoth, that worked! Thanks so much.

cannibalslug, thanks for the link. I wonder if there is a page specifically with CABS for the Touch Diamond. For example, something like this w/ registry tweaks: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398265. But not sure if that page is outdated?? Or something with CABS?

The majority of things named throughout the entire thread are cabs, some links, but links to cabs, i've used quite a few myself. If you're looking to get tweaks done to your device (most done through the programs offered on the link i gave you), specify and i can probably find them.

Re: Removing Program Shortcuts on Alltel Diamond??

Just flash Conflipper's ROM. It's already designed for Alltel and has a nice sampling of aftermarket stuff too while keeping most of the stock stuff (minus the crap).
