Any way to view /Windows folder through computer?

When I try to overwrite .dll files using Touch Commander it doesn't let me unless I change the name of the original file first. Is there any way to view the /Windows folder and do this type of stuff through my computer? When I use ActiveSync or Disk Drive it never lets me view the Windows folder on the main memory. Is this normal?

Not sure EXACTLY how on XP, but this is how on vista:

Organize -> Folder and Search Options > View > View Hidden Files and Folders.

Probably something like View > Folder and Search options > View > Hidden Files/Folders on XP

no. you need either total commander, or resco file explorer. you need to rename the file, you can do that in tc or resco. then copy the new one over. restart the phone, and delete the one you renamed.

with the WMDC in vista, you cannot see the windows folder..

I have the "show hidden" thing check, and stll nothing shows for me!

I am using vista and I see everything..., try going straight through Computer --> Diamond?

Also, I'm entirely sure you have to have administrator rights, if that makes a difference for you.

I'm on vista and I don't see the /Windows folder. I've done it the other way in Touch Commander and was hoping there would be an easier option but it's no biggie that I can't.

lol i am on vista too and i see everything in my windows folder and i can copy things out of it but i can not modify any of the file from the folder i can only do that on the phone

I saw your post, I've already had it on show hidden files, it still doesn't work. Really not that big a deal, I can do that stuff through TC.

Ah, okay. Well I see mine, if it makes a diff it's the "true admin" account, not the masked vista ones.
