Re: CDMA and GSM users alike: In-Call voice recording
Quote:
Either that or you haven't waited long enough after starting the call. Wait like one or two seconds and THEN hit the menu button. If you hit it before the call connects, it will be grayed out and you will have to close the menu and then open it up again. |

Re: CDMA and GSM users alike: In-Call voice recording
Nah, sorry that's not the answer, reinstalled several times, changed dialers, waited until the person started to talk on the other end, same result.
Maybe it's the dialer, my ROM does not have the stock dialer (so I do not get the 'start recording' menu option), is it floating around somewhere, I have tried Conflipper's S2A and this gives me the option but greyed out.

Re: CDMA and GSM users alike: In-Call voice recording
this worked perfect. make sure you setup the in call recording in the programs menu first. that made it so the start recording activated for me. before i did that it was also still greyed out. thanks for this! it works perfect.

Re: CDMA and GSM users alike: In-Call voice recording
Got it working using Juggalo V0.08B ROM just fine. That beep before and after the recording starts / stops is a little annoying. I haven't looked yet, but I wonder if there is a registry setting to lower the volume on it.
I have also noticed that I could hear my side a lot louder than the person I am calling. That's the opposite behavior as some on the XDA thread. |

Re: CDMA and GSM users alike: In-Call voice recording
Found a fix for those annoying sounds. I made them a lot quieter. Overwrite these two files in the \Windows directory:
\Windows\ICR_BEEP.wav \Windows\ICR_BEEPBEEP.wav Attached is a zip containing the quieter versions of these two. DO NOT DELETE THE FILES ALTOGETHER. You can make a blank .wav file so the sounds are completely silent. It would be great if someone would edit the CAB file to replace the original two files. I do not have the means to do it. |
